tranny grenaded itself
My tranny is **** out of luck. i need some advice of what to do. First off i need a tranny to handle the power my engine makes, which is somewhere close to 500 horses give or take. I would like it to be able to take some abuse but also would like overdrive because this is mainly a street car.
If i rebuld my 700r4, what is the best performance rebuild kit? Is a t56 feasible? and what other transmissions have overdrive and can handle this much hp easily? Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Do some reading here, their levels of build options may help you decide
http://www.bowtieoverdrives.com/index.shtml
You can get a 700 to handle over 600HP
Don't cheap out on the converter...mine was over $500
I'm in Canada and I paid over $2500 locally just for parts but it still runs strong after more than a year
I made the mistake of getting a stage 2 kit installed with a 'Vette servo and it hammers into 2nd during daily driving but boy does it go @ WOT
