well today the camaro started to make a thud sound when i take off hard at all if i take off slowly its fine but the harder i take off the louder the thud is. it sounds like its coming from the rear end but i put it in reverse and did it, and it sounded/felt like it was coming from the trans. the thing is fine other than take off. i can punch the gas as hard as i can when moving and its fine only when i am at a complete stopped then take off. all i can think off is maybe somthing with the drive shaft or maybe a trans mount? so let me know what you guys think

 

Check your trans mount first, torque arm mount on the transmission tailshaft second. Those are the 2 usual suspects.

 

could also be a motor mount.

 

The last time my Camaro made a thud on take off I collapsed my transmission mount, and then time before that it was because I was down about a quart of transmission fluid.

 

ok ya i took a look yesterday and the nothing was broken but some how i was missing the nut that holds the trans mount to the cross bar
