new t-5 conversion/rear end question

alright so the t-5 is in and all is good with that. BUT honestly, with my 3.73 rear, shifts from 1st and 2nd are super quick and ... well pointless unless I want to spin the entire time. do most of you guys out there with Manual Trans and a decently powered 350 have 3.55 gears or even 3.27's? I loved my 3.73's with my auto... but .. not so much now. just wanna be able to gain a little better top end speed but not sacrifice much of take off. maybe im just being a PITA wanting too much but.. can't hurt to ask.

thanks

350/330 with a T-5 and 3.23's. Others may disagree, but I like the combination very much (3.27's = 9-bolt), especially third and fourth gear which wind out very nicely.

Re: new t-5 conversion/rear end question

Before I went to my T56 and 3.73's I had a T5 and 3.42's. Swapped from the original 3.08's. I loved the T5/3.42 combo. Not too low of a first gear, and good freeway manors also.

you are tach'ing 2700 at 130mph in 5th wtih 4.10's? I am tach'ing like ... well alot more than that going 80mph. I know my tach is off but the car just feels like its done around 100. thats really why i was asking lol... i really feel like range of speed is very small. i dunno. thanks for the responses soo far though guys!

I'm glad I found this thread as I got my question answered without having to do a thread of my own.
