TV Cable adjustment issue???

I ve been tryinf to adjust my TV cable becuase my tranny is shifting a little weird ( 700r4). I push the D button in and push the black slide all the way in ( toward the firewall). this is where it was to begin with. Then i let go of the D button and from the carb I open the throttle all the way and it does not click out at all. Just stays where it is. Am i doing something wrong? Is the cable too stretched out? I dont have the original motor. I have a 91 RS w/ a FASTBURN 385 and Holley double pumper, it has B&M TV cable adapter on it , and i also have a B&M megashifter if this info helps at all.

Re: TV Cable adjustment issue???

did it work before?
if it did, check to see if it came apart in the trainy end.
if it has not worked before, it looks like the bracket is not far enough back from the carb.
also, is the cable kinked?
looks like it is in a angle

Re: TV Cable adjustment issue???

Well, i tried different positions to see if i could find a good spot and now no matter where i position the slide, even if i put it where it originally was the tranny slips really bad. I barely made it home. I took it down the road a mile or so and had to creep home. I dont know what is going on?? anyone??

Re: TV Cable adjustment issue???

when im driving it? no, it will slip. I can turn the throttle plate to WOT manually when the car is not running, if that is what u meen? when i bought the car it was shifting, just seemed like it slipped sometimes, and the shifts were soft. I was told it has a TCI stall converter and a shift kit. Let me get some better pics.

Sounds like its time for a rebuild. Especially sinces it was slipping to begin with.
