When I shift into Overdrive it doesnt grab?

Car: 1992 Pontiac Firebird Base
Engine: 305 TBI
Transmission: 700r4, B&M shifter & shift kit inst
Axle/Gears: 3:23....10 bolt
When I shift into Overdrive it doesnt grab?
When I drive my car, I normally put it in Overdrive, and then there is a couple second pause until it catches and then im off. Lately, its been getting worse, What can I do to make it so it grabs right away?
