What the heck is this
Ok guys This may be long. I need help with this reman tranny that I got. Its from Trans-Plant Transmissions. Ok the company couldnt supply me with a 700R4 torque converter lock up for a 86 IROC-Z. So they provided me with a 700R4 from a corvette. My issue is this,,,,The Reman tranny has 3 wires (2 for lockup and 1 that splits off to what looks like a tiny knock sensor) inside the Tranny fluid pan. My 86 IROC 700 has 2 wires, both go to lock up . Get this, my converter lock harness connector on my 86 IROC has 3 wires connecting into the 4 prong connector (looks like the IAC Valve connector). So what is this 3rd wire that goes to the tiny knock sensor lookin deal? Also there is a long metal tube that is connected to some bulky housing that my old tranny doesnt have., while my original 700 doesnt have the tube. SSSSooooo, can the Reman tranny work with my 86 IROC-Z

Also here is a drawing of the "3rd wire" that leads to a "tiny knock sensor" (4th Clutch switch with 2 terminals) looking device. Differnce is that on the Reman tranny, It has only one prong that the 3rd wire connects to, not 2 as stated in the diagram.

Here is a good picture of the little black knock sensor (in yellow) looking thing. My old tranny dont got it, but the Reman one does. So will it affect the ECM in any way.
