have an 87 iroc no kick down

hi all i have an 87 iroc with a mildly built 355 and a th350

i use a holley dual feed 650 and i dont know where the

kickdown is.

i have looked and looked and scratched my head, i also run a B&M

megashifter.

i know this isn't a lot to go on but maybe some one can help.

not that i really need the kickdown..lol

On the th-350 there is no kick down cable or anything like that. The th-350 uses a vacuum modulator to help control the shifts. So i would check to make sure the vacuum line is attached, attached to the right place on the carb, and has no crack/leaks.

thanks that is a good reason i couldn't find it..lol

i usually just shift it manually anyway, but sometimes my

wife drives it and i didn't want to hurt anything..

uh my th350 has a kickdown

I didnt hook it up though. I just shift it manually if I want. Kickdown would probably just wreck me if I used it in my S10.

TH-350 does have a kickdown cable. I was told it needed to be hooked even if manually shifting. Dont know if that was true or not. The cable runs from the carb to the passenger side of the trans.
