How do I know what flywheel I have?

How do I know what flywheel I have?

I bought a complete T5 swap a long time ago, and I'm finally getting around to puttin' it in the car. The guy I bought it from gave me the flywheel too, and the only thing I know about it is that it's a 153 tooth.

My questions are:

First, can I use my starter from my L98 89 Iroc/Automatic?
Second, I have a 1pc. RMS. How do I know if this flywheel is for 1 or 2 pc RMS?
How do I know if it's external or internal balance?

...if these questions can't be answered, I guess my best bet is a new flywheel? Starting to wonder if that's not a good idea anyway...

Thanks,
-Boob

86-92 1pc RMS flywheel has a weight. 2pc for 85-down 305/350 does not and has a larger bolt pattern.

Here's the bigger one (3" across) and the smaller one. The smaller one works better than the big one with T5 bellhousings and it works with the LT1 T56 bellhousing.

Enjoy your swap.
