Bolt sheared off in pin

Bolt sheared off in pin
I'm taking my rear end apart. i start un scerwing the small bolt the holds the large pin in between the spider gears and only half of it came out. Any one ever have this problem before and know an easy fix ?

Same thing happened to me a while ago. As far as I know the only thing to do is use a BFH and a drift and beat on the end of the pin untill the rest of the bolt snaps off. Remember to block the front wheels of the car well to prevent it from moving forward and slipping off of the jack stands. That almost happened to me. Good luck

That's SUPER common.
I had it happen to me. I think I was lucky, in that the rest fell out. Otherwise you'll have to beat on it, or try to drill it out with a 90* drill? Then just replace the pin, it's about a $20 part.

Thanks guys.The whole rear end is getting rebuilt and I have all new parts going in so beating the crap out of it dosent sound that bad.
