Speedometer problem after rearend swap...

Hello. I swapped the stock 2.73 rearend to a 3.23 rearend. Now, i want to change the vss driven gear. The drive-gear is the red one and i know, i should go with the dark grey driven gear (44 tooth).
I heared, there are three different vehicle speed sensors ?! Can i go with my stock one, just with another driven-gear. Or should i change the vehicle speed sensor ???

Re: Speedometer problem after rearend swap...

i just replaced he gears when i did mine years ago, never touched the sensor. I was told that certain gears dont fit certain sensors and yada yada yada, but i had no issues. Went form 2:73 to 3:73, i think both gears were red, and the new ones were grey and purple?
