there is a intermittent scratching sound from what it seems like behind the motor/ in the trans. ive looked on the fourms and didnt find anything. it only happens when im in gear AND moving. when in park or neutral and revs, nothing. also having a problem with a rough idel and trying to die, these are all symtoms that i didnt have before beating the crap out of it :/ willing to make the nessecary repairs to it to get it running good again

 

the scratching sound your talking about , i would check all the motor mounts & tranny mounts . the other problems , a good through tune-up should cure them . good luck .

 

I'm kinda leaning towards the torque converter, its only noticable at low speeds, and increases tempo with the car, anyone know of anything like that

finally got the thing apart, only two bolts in the bellhousing and a snapped tranny mount, torque converter is shot.

 

ya i was gonna say when i broke my tranny mount and say started accelerating there would be a scratch right under me the rubber mount that was on the car completely broke apart there was nothing left but glad u found it and good luck
