Shifter problem?

Axle/Gears: 3.73's
Shifter problem?
The shifter is a Hurst Quarter Stick. I've been having an issue shifting from 2-3 at WOT. For some reason it doesn't want to go into third sometimes and I'll end up just revving the hell out of my engine. I'm guessing this is the shifter and not the tranny. Can anybody tell me what's going on here and what I can to fix this?
