Towing with a t56
I'm thinking about towing a wild mud s10 with a 5.3/t56 combo. Not a camaro, but I figured I'd get a no bs answer here. Its a strong trans, and strong is strong right? Its going in an s10 which have a factory rating of 5000 lbs.
What do you guys think? I'm thinking about selling my blazer and using this for any truck needs.

As long as you know how to tow without burning up the clutch, you'll be fine. Keep your hydraulics well bled so the release is working tip-top.

Re: Towing with a t56
You may want to consider 4.11 or 4.56 rear gears if you plan on towing close to that 5,000lbs. Note that the only 2 T56 factory truck applications (Dodge Ram SRT10 and the Chevy SSR) had larger output shaft sizes in their T56s, and still came with the lower rear gears to help moving a heavy tow load without stressing the T56 output. If your T56 is a fbody version (27 spline output) you need to be aware of the limitations.
