Transmission: Built 4L60e

Axle/Gears: 10 bolt, Eaton posi, 3.73's

Gears from third gen 10 bolt into 4th gen 10 bolt

Just want to clarify whether or not I can put gears that fit into a third gen 10 bolt into a 4th gen 10 bolt.

I'm pretty sure I can.

Yes you can. Just be sure that the differential is the correct series for the gears. If you are swapping the differential too then be sure that the axle splines are the same.

just to refresh your memory, 82-89 is 26 splines whereas 89/90-up have 28 splines axle shafts and a corresponding differential carrier. i'm sure you're also aware of series 2 versus series 3 carriers, and that the 4th gen rear is wider thanthat of a 3rd gen (iirc also means you can't swap axles between those).
