mechancial or hydraulic

Which is pefered and why. Looking to do a 5spd swap on my 86 iroc.

Hydraulic is easier IMO, just did a swap in my 84 Monte. Pedals, 3 holes and mount.

Hydro is easier and more common to find. But there is nothing wrong with a correctly setup mechanical system. I don't have any issues with my 83.
