Prolly been covered, tried search

ok so i got my t56 in this weekend and i had a nice long look at my clutch disc and decided a should probably hunt for another here soon, i currently have a centerforce 700107 for the 2 pc rms motor<--new, and a spec 3+ clutch and pp<---used, now heres my question, can i have the pp turned down and buy the disc seperatly??? i really wanna stick with the 3+ but spending another 500-600 on a new assembly is outta the question right now. (ole lady is naggin bout the cost of the t56 swap) can other discs be used with the spec 3+ pp?? Can i buy the Spec 3+ Disc seperate and have the pp turned?? If So anybody know where i can buy one??? Thanks

i dont have the answers to all your questions but i can say i've never heard of machining the pressure plate. it would likely lessen the pressure on the discs causing slippage.

I'm using the Autozone NU31265 LT4 PP (comes as a kit, but just use the PP) & Mcleod 261171 disc. Cost < $400 and doesn't slip on my setup.

LT1 T56 clutch info
