Fluid suggestion for T5 with worn synchros?

The T5 in my GTA is creeping up on 150k miles, and as such, finding 2nd and 3rd gear isn't as easy as it used to be, especially on colder mornings. I realize that the trans is on borrowed time, and when I swap the 350 from my IROC into the GTA, the nicely rebuilt T5 in the IROC is going with it, so I really just need another year or so out of this trans. Now that the rear seal is leaking, I'll be fixing that and that'll necessitate new fluid anyway. That being the case, is there something other than standard ATF that will help the syncros work a little better until I can swap boxes? Maybe a thicker oil of some sort?

If its harder to shift when it cold you need a thinner oil when oil is cold its thicker and vise verse.

Good point. Maybe I'll just use some synthetic ATF and put up with whatever I get for the time being.

I've been using Mobil 1 for a number of years without complaint.
