Axle/Gears: 3.42 eaton
Axle swap
i am looking to do an axle swap and i am needing to know all the things that i will be needing
i know that i need the axle, corresponding ratio speedo gear, and a calpak tune??
Did i miss anything?

If you are going from drum to disc, or disc to drum, some people recommend replacing the prop. valve to match the brakes. Peronally, I did not swap them when I went from drum to disc, and I have had no problems.

Concerning the combination valve, note that some members don't switch (and the brakes will still function); however, there's an increased bias from drum to disc to 1LE. For best brake performance, I'd use the correct valve--GM designed different valves for different systems for a reason.

i am just wanting to go drum to drum i just want to have the benefit of the 3.45 instead of broke 2.73 posi peg leg
