Re: clutch master cylinder

Its probably best to buy new. My master cost $60, and I believe the slave was around $40. These are "Wear parts" and I wouldnt really trust used.

Re: clutch master cylinder

Autozone carries both the master and slave in stock normally, and they run about $30 each. I bought a new slave after stripping out the plastic (yes plastic) bleeder screw threads on the replacement unit I put on there a few months ago. Now Ive got an all metal slave with a lifetime warranty.

They cost more than that, though.

That sucks, the slave you posted is the one I picked up the other day. Looks like a pretty solid piece.

Yeah, even though its plastic, I can't really complain, works great!

(The pic shows a metal one, but when I got it it was plastic)

Re: clutch master cylinder

I got the metal one. I had 2 plastic ones from rock auto on there before. The first one broke at the mounting flange. The second one stripped out the treads of the bleeder screw the other day, which is why i had to get the autozone piece in the first place. The great thing about the metal one is that you can take it off without the plunger extending and loosing the fluid.
