Dirty Trans fluid, some metallic flakes, new rebuild

I have less than 50 miles on this Transmission... I'm in the process of getting it ready to be inspected so no full blown highway trips... We have gotten on it pretty hard locally though just to test it out. I've been having a problem with the gasket leaking around the pan... changed it out a couple of times annoying the **** out of me blah blah blah.... each time I change it the pan has a fair amount of black crap on the bottom of it... and I am seeing tiny little metallic flakes... Is this from a break in on the parts? Or am perhaps seeing **** flood in from the previous dead trans that was in the cooler? I mean I've gone through 20 or 30 qts of tranny fluid with these last 3 attempts at changing the gasket. you'd think it would clear up.

Transmission gets it good, spins in the tires in 1st and 2nd no problem... Heavy duty sunshell, heavy duty clutches, corvette servo, transgo shift kit. I might have a tad too much pressure on the TV cable... would this cause stuff to get eaten up?

Thoughts?

Trans was built by my bro in his Lincoln Tech transmission course/shop. Half the class worked on it including the teacher... you'd think they got it right.

it could be from the cooler if was not flushed but all fluid from the cooler passes back through the pump. if the low roller race was not clearanced for the sunshell that could explain some metal also.

Im under the impression that a certain amount of metal in the pan is normal and unavoidable with an automatic.
