So im buying a rebuilt 350 for 650 bucks from a guy off craigslist and it comes with a turbo 350. I havent actually bought it yet, but he said he will hold it for me. THM350 i think is another name for it. I will be swapping my 305 tbi with a 700r4 for a carb'ed 350 with the turbo 350 tranny. My 700r4 is pretty much shot, slips in 3rd pretty bad and shifts hard. First off- will the new tranny hold up to about 400 hp? I assume its in good working condition. Also, are these computer controlled at all? What will i need to make it work? Or would i be better off getting my 700r4 rebuilt? Im kind of on a budget so id rather not if i dont have to

 

The turbo 350 will hold, but remember you lose your overdrive the 700 r4 had.
