Driving T5 without bellhousing dust cover?
I finished up my T5 swap a few months ago, and I even got my hands on a factory dust cover/shield, but I haven't been able to install it. Thus far, most of the driving has been all local, but tomorrow I've got a few hours of driving planned, and there's a chance of rain. Is this a bad idea? That bottom quarter of the flywheel is just haning out there un protected.
just looking for some thoughts and opinion.
Thanks,

Id only be afraid of puddles too, don't wanna glaze the clutch if it was in a constant drench like a heavy rain where ya hit puddles every 3ft.

I doubt water would hurt it at all. Now, if you splashed through a puddle of oil, well it might mess your friction disc up. I think the main concern would be gravel roads.....you could get a piece of gravel wedged in between the flywheel and bell housing which could crack your housing...
