Clutch fork clearance issues 350 SBC / t10 (hits firewall)

I have a 350 that i just built and a t10, i knew you needed an 11" clutch with the 350 so i got the bigger bellhousing, fly wheel and borg warner clutch, now my only problem is the stock gm clutch fork and the heavy duty ( gm #60101 ) both hit my firewall...im loosing it, the car has been in my garage for a year and this weekend is my dead line and if i can get a clutch for that will engage/disengage the clutch without hitting my firewall, then i can finish it, if not im screweddddd thanks - nick

No, you don't have to have an 11" clutch. It does add weight though.

You need a bellhousing with an angled fork.
This is the Lakewood for 84-92 w/hydraulic clutch release and
the one for 82-83 mechanical clutch release.

I couldn't find a 153 tooth flywheel anywhere that would fit my 350, and the 305 is what i had when i bought it, i wonder if i would be able to just cut or shape more space in the firewall, i never have had to "customize my set up," and i really dont have/want to spend too much on this since its mostly just a project to screw around with and have alot of fun hoping it turns out better then expected. i also heard that the lakewood clutch fork and pivot ball "never" fit right, then again, ive never used either.

There are only two 350 flywheel bolt patterns & balances.

If you had
-an 86-up 305, you probably needed a flywheel for an 85-down Z28 to fit your 350.
-an 85- older 305, you needed a flywheel for an 86+ Z28.

The clutch and everything else would have bolted up. Still have your old parts?

yeah i have all the old parts, the 305 i had was an 82, and then the 350 is a 86-up.

but the 305 was a one piece, and the 350 was a 2 piece.

I think you have that backwards.
But that's cool; all you need is a flywheel. (assuming the clutch was still good.)

yeah i did have that backwards, but i just got a new clutch and i actually went to start it today and have been adjusting everything, i just fabricated a little space for the fork and it works fine, it only takes about a half hour to shape enough space.
