which part snapped?
Can you better describe what happened? You're providing an absolute minimum of info.

The arm on the factory shifter thats for 1st and second gear snapped.I had it welded and it broke again.I was gonna go with the hurst shifter but they discontinued the linkage kit and the cheapest shifter I found was 475 in cali..I think the whole setup is wore out..Maybe i can get it rebuilt?Or a new on fabricated..I would hate to have to junk this car I put so much work into

If you were driving it before it broke, I don't think it's all worn out.
A shifter by itself is $215 from Jegs if it's a Saginaw.
the shifter linkage parts seem to be available but you'll have to search a little bit; maybe use eBay.
On something this old, you can't find the parts without some work. But they made a LOT of Saginaw equipped cars so the parts are out there if you look.
