t5 bolt problem
trying to pull a t5 out of 88 firebird. there is one bolt on the passenger side top that we can not take off. its the bolt that screws the tranny into the bellhousing. we can't get anything on it to turn it.

Re: t5 bolt problem
It's easier to get at it if you remove the transmission crossmember, and tilt the motor and transmission back IIRC. Those bolts are a pain in the a** to get at

Re: t5 bolt problem
If you don't have access to any impact tools, what about a breaker bar? You could try slipping a length of pipe over the ratchet/breaker bar for added leverage.
A lot of people on TGO recommend PB Blaster. I tried it, and it seems to really help. It's a penetrating lubricant that you spray on. You can get it at Advance.
