What is the best rebuild kit or parts to make a heavy duty 700r4?
Any input on this subject is appreciated, trying to get a feel on what to get to do a rebuild on my late model 700r4,
the only damage I found so far is the clutch plates are worn out, other than that all parts are in great shape.

How can you tell if a torque convertor needs to be replaced?
I want to do this sucessfully the first time so I don't have to pull the transmission out repeatedly

Go to https://www.700r4l60e.com/store/home.php?cat=19 for the choice you need/want here. The 700R4 rebuild kits include the DVD. I have the ATSG build books for these also. Are you going to rebuild this yourself, or with some help from someone who knows these transmissions? If there is not any metal in the fluid, and the fluid is a red to a medium brown in color, and the area where the bushing and seal ride on the torque converter hub, is in good shape, you should be able to use the torque converter again.
