Hey fellas I have 89 gta with a 700r4 trans but I want a stick....I've read there's a reason the 5.7 never came stock manual can't remember why but what would be a good manual trans that will bolt up and handle up to 400 hp? thanks alot

 

From an affordability standpoint, a T56 is going to be your best bet - There are other offerings, but from a price and parts availability, you're much better off going T56 in most cases.

 

is the T56 pretty strong and reliable? are you familiar with how it shifts the power it can handle, etc? thanks
