HELP!! Drove to the track, had to trailer home
ok so last night i took my car down to the nearest strip and thought i'd run it down the quarter a few times, well on my 1st run, the burnout went good, stage up, green, go!!! i pulled hard and when i shifted 2nd and dumped the clutch there was a loud pop and some racket that seemed to come from my trans (t56), lost all gears, nothing catches, driveshaft doesn't turn and there is alot of noise coming from the bellhousing. Did my clutch come apart? TOB failure? It makes hella noise at idle and the shifter vibrates pretty good. Using a spec 3+, sucks had to trailer it home, got back around 5 a.m. <----RETARDED Any ideas appreciated

Apparently something broke. The only way you're going to know what it was is to pull the tranny and have a look.

Yep, got to pull it. BTW, if your not running slicks, your better off doing no burnout. Just drive around the water box.

Well i got a little anxious and thought i'd pull my slave off and check it out with a bore scope, when i pulled it off a few little pieces of clutch fell out and its all covered in black dust inside.................anybody wanna point me in the direction of a good clutch manufactuer??
Re: HELP!! Drove to the track, had to trailer home
For some reason a ton of people seem to have problems with aftermarket performance clutches. It seems like people have better luck with generic parts store replacements then some of the popular aftermarket upgrades. If I felt I needed something better then stock, I'd look to http://www.clutchnet.com/ Not that I've got one of their clutches behind a T56, but I've had one of their clutches before and was impressed with it.
