i bought car apart. i hooked up shifter cable to trans. it seems to go thru gears but when put it in park it wont lock until i rock car. is there a certain way to adjust shift cable? i looked on here but all i can find is tv cable. it doesnt run yet so ive been pushing it in and out of garage however ever since i did hook it up it seems harder to push than it did before i hookd it up?

 

underneath the car on the transmission you can adjust the cable been awhile since i've had an auto

 

yea i know but i was wondering if there is a certian wat to do it.
