Hi Guys,

I did a search but couldn't find any answers. When my 700r4 shifts into 2nd gear, it then shifts too quickly into 3rd gear (maybe a few hundred RPM or so). The tranny is used and I know it has a corvette servo and is suppose to have a shift-kit also (don't know what brand).

Can anyone tell me how I can fix the 2-3 shift so it doesn't shift so quickly into 3rd gear?
Is this a problem with the valve body or maybe the governor?

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

bump for ya, i'm curious what it might be as well. i have a truck that does that.

I believe I've fixed this problem... I ordered a B&M Transmission Calibration kit (~$46 shipped) which includes various weights and springs for the governor. I then pulled the governor and changed 1 weight & 1 spring (went lighter on both) and the transmission seems a lot better now! It's not perfect yet but its much better.

Before you make any changes, you want to make sure that the TV cable is tight at WOT, then go from there, when trying to chase down a problem.
