t-5 speedo sleeve question

I have a 68 Chevy truck that I put a T-5 in from I believe an 83 Camaro. I noticed it was leaking around the speedometer cable, so I found out from here that I need a new sleeve. I ordered one the other day, PN345215, and when I went to put it in tonight, I noticed it was different from my original on, which looks this.

Does anyone have a part number for that sleeve, or did it come in anything else besides T-5s? Also, I need the connector plug thing for the reverse lights. Does anyone know where to get that because GM discontinued it. Thanks in advance.

Re: t-5 speedo sleeve question

Napa carries replacement seals or o-rings which install into speedo gear sleeves (small ones the gear slides into.) There's a chance you could service your sleeve with those. You won't easily find a new one like yours. Why don't you use the 345215?

The reverse lights plug is a 2 prong weatherpak; easy to find at any parts store. You can use a micro-screwdriver to remove the contacts from the plastic housing and just use the new housing on your old wires if you don't want to splice.

Check the following (give it a moment to load) for the TH350, T-5 and Super T-10:

Re: t-5 speedo sleeve question

I just wasn't sure if I need an original looking one or if I could just use the 345215. Also, is there any differnce in the reverse lights plug between the years or are they all the same?
