Torque Converter stall size?

Looking into new torque converter for weekend cruiser with a little bracket racing use. The car will see highway time but not long trips. I was thinking either a 2600 or 3000 stall. Anyone have any ideas?

Re: Torque Converter stall size?

depending on your engine if its mild or high perfromance will be how you want to select your converter stall speed. something in the 3000 range is good on the street because you can launch harder while more in the powerband. but something around 2300-2700 is substantial but it might not stall out right where you want. look on jegs my brother bought one and had no issues that stalls out at about 22-2400. if you have any other questions ill be glad to help
