I freaking blew out the automatic transmission on my 87 transam now i need to get a new one but im thinking of searching online for one maybe craigslist.. the only thing is that i dont know what transmission model to search for??? can any one please help i know this is a stupid question but I'm trying to buy a transmission before i even try to remove the ****d up one. anyone?

The list of aftermarket re-manufactures is extensive and it comes down to what you have in the bank and what you need. yes like he said you have a 700r4. there is a few options for you. you can alwasy replace the 700 which is a good way to go por you can get a turbo350 which i prefer. if your putting in a new trans make sure you get a shiftkit. if u need a 700r4 send me a message mines coming out soon.
