700r4 shift okay at WOT but have to take foot off pedal to shift??

Just as the title says. Normal 700r4 with a shift kit I believe. I remember first driving it when I got it and it shifted okay. I had a leak that I later found out was coming from my TV cable seal, and fixed that. Would a low fluid level do this? Like I said WOT it shifts fine but when cruising at regular speeds I have to take my foot off the pedal then it shifts.

Sounds like the TV cable is out of adjustment.

I over-fill my trans by about a half-quart (from 'full' indication on the dipstick), and it now makes the WOT shift. Not sure if the same method will help the part-throttle shift issue. And, as stated all too often on this board, make sure the TV cable is properly adjusted.

Thanks for the input! I have one last cooler line to fix then I'll try that level method. I'm almost 100% sure my TV cable isn't adjusted properly so I'll make certain to check that out.

Adjusted the TV cable about 5 times. Still doing the same thing. It'll be cheaper for me to just pick up another transmission and call it a day.
