I have a B&M shifter in my camaro that the previous owner installed,but he never installed the reverse light switch. According to the install directions from teh B&M website, it comes with one.

I'm just asking for pics of somebody's shifter installed so I can see what I need to do...thanks!

 

You can see the two switches there on the left side of the shifter. Nuetral safety switch, and reverse light switch.

 

Yup, I see it now. It previous owner just the left the switches in the console. One looks like it was used at one point but then cut out. Thanks!

Should the sifter have a little play in it? As in it can forward/backward a little? Not the whole thing just the handle itself?

 

Yeah mine does. One thing you may wanna think of doing if you care is reinforcing it for side to side flex. Mine flexed a lot and when taking hard corners using it as a handle for my right hand to hold myself up on corners, it flexed enough to hit the reverse light switch. I added some gussets and stiffened up the floor as well. It helped out a lot.

subscribed, I have heard that you can bypass the neutral safety switch....anybody know Im not saying that its a great Idea to do it cause your car will start in any gear but I dont think my uses B&M shifter came with one.. Id just to like my options
