Went to change my servo, Cover will not free up
Hey guys, I have a Corvette servo ready to go in my 4L60, in my 91... I have the transmission on the floor, no fluid in it.. I removed the little ring that holds the servo in place, but the cover seems to be jammed in.. Is there a trick I'm missing?

The cover is aluminum... do not bang on it with a hammer, the cover will break. Use the handle of a hammer and push the cover in and out (this may take a long time) until you can see the blue o-ring seal that is around the cover. Pull some of the blue o-ring out with a pick and cut it with a pair of dykes. pull the cut o-ring out and use a pair of water pump pliers to remove the cover.

Instead of making a new topic..
