1993 4l60(no E)

I'm building a TPI setup for my 68 C10 with a new harness and ECU from Larry's Electric. My question is I found a nice clean 4l60 that I would like to use and is there a difference in the harness plugs from 92 to 93 that would keep me from using the 1993 4l60. The harness was built for a 92 setup and a 700r4. Thanks for all replies.

Re: 1993 4l60(no E)

Since there's no "E", I'd think it would be the same. The 4L60 is supposed to be the same as the 700R4 as far as I know they just changed naming designations in 1993 to prep for the new line of 4L60E, 4L80E, etc.

Read the TCI instruction link in this recent thread: https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/tran...r4-lockup.html

It covers some detail of the TCC wiring differences for 1993.

Re: 1993 4l60(no E)

If you have the wiring and the wire connector plug from a pre 1993, install it as this will do what you want as far as torque converter lockup. The other plugs that are not used will not effect the TC lockup or anything else.

Went with a 91 kcase. Found in a Blazer that had already been re-built for 70 dollars out the door at Pull a part.
