Re: Lost trans crossmember bolt

the bolt to the frame? i believe is 10mm 1.5, about 1.25" or 1.5" long (30-40mm) How did it "scare you"? there are 2 bolts on each side, if 1 fell out you would never notice. If the crossmember fell on the one side, there could be more wrong than just a missing bolt.

look under the car yet?

Not to the frame. The trans mount bolt...goes through the crossmember. Itmade a terrible noise as the transmission hit the body and the bolt rattled down my driveshaft.

Re: Lost trans crossmember bolt

ahh that one.

last one i used was 7/16 course thread IIRC, but was for an poly mount, think its the same?

this says otherwise
https://www.thirdgen.org/trannymount

but the measurements they give in the article are the head size of the bolt/nut, not the thread size

stock appears to use a stud and nut, so maybe you just lost the nut?

Re: Lost trans crossmember bolt

Yes, the original tranny mount bushing is SAE thread and the crossmenber bolts are metric. Find a decent washer to go with your bolt like a thick fender washer.
