Which Tranny?

okay guys, i need some real informative information here lol.. i have a chevy 350 im looking to try to get 4-5 hundred hps out of it, just started building.. not too knowledgeable on the transmissions topic so im asking you guys what type of transmissions are out there for what im looking for.. im planning on getting a 4.56 gear also..

With 4.56 gears, this obviously is going to be a track only car. I'd go TH350. Cheap, and can be built bulletproof.

500 HP to the ground normally apsirated? That's a tall order for 350 CID NA so I assume that it's a stroker and not a daily driver. So, here ya go

I'm there with camaronewbie...4.56 is definitely not for daily driving: there are a lot of companies out there that make performance trannys. Question is how deep are your pockets? Here are a few companies I know of:
