New guy with stall question...

Hey guys my names Mason and I have a 95 C1500 I plan on swapping a cammed 5.3 in and running a 3000 stall. I'm gonna keep my pre 98 4l60e in it and get the 80e flexplate and spacer to make it work.

I had a buddy tell me to check out one of these forums to see what I could do cause stalls are freakin expensive and I'm doing this on a budget.

So are there any TC's from other trans that will work in a 4l60e or were there any camaros that came with 4l60e's?

Re: New guy with stall question...

no reason to get a high stall converter unless its a strictly drag car...
all its gonna do is heat up your tranny in the long run..dont do it.the 4L60 is enough

Or they may move you to the LSx/LTx section where it should have been posted.

Re: New guy with stall question...

I'm a member on FSC...I've never seen anything like this posted on there before.
I'll be using a TSP 220/220 cam...this is one of the smaller cams for an LS engine, without this big of a stall I won't be using my cam to it's full potential. Compared to alot of guys I know this is a smaller stall, LS engines need to get revved up a bit for peak torque.

I'm not asking any questions about an ls swap...I was asking something transmission related. I guess it is simply too logical to post a question in the right sub forum.

Re: New guy with stall question...

Not so much that; rather, this is a 3rd gen F-body forum. Discussing vehicles that aren't 3rd gen F-bodies, with engines that didn't come in 3rd gen F-bodies, is not allowed here.

Expect this post to be locked a ssoon a moderator notices it.

Re: New guy with stall question...

Sorry, our site is dedicated to Third Generation F-Bodies (1982-1992 Chevrolet Camaro and Pontiac Firebird). That's been the sole focus of this site for over 10 years.

Might try a few other sites:

Thanks and good luck!
