hey guys, my first day on the forum.Well i have a crazy combination that you guys probly havent seen before. I own an 85` camaro t~top car that i just fished putting a 6.2L diesel with a 700r4 in it. Some people probly think its dumb, but i bet im the only guy you know cruiseing down the interstate, t tops off gettin 32mpg`s in my 85 camaro. anyways my ? is my camaro is a factory spedo cable. the new tranny is electric spedo. i have 255/60/15 tires in the rear. with 3.42 gears. my question is when i do the conversion over to the cable type on the tranny, what two drive gears would get me close to right? I dont know anything about this part so any hlp would be great!

did your car come with a 700r4 originally?? if so did you try to swap the speedo/speed sensor from one trans to another??
yes the car was origanaly a 700r4. i bought the car from a family member and b4 i got it he had a th350 put in it. they threw away the old tranny that had all the pieces i needed. so i have to start completly from scratch.

Under the FAQ's. It says how to do it. If you already know your exisiting setup. I say get a setup on there. Then find out how much you are off. then you can use the area on the site to find out your exact gearing. Or find a local speedometer shop and then can figure it out for you. https://www.thirdgen.org/calibrate-speedometer
well i must be stupid because i cant for the life of me figure it out. any body else help?
You will need the 17-43 or 15-38 combination of the drive and driven gears. It will depend on which speedometer housing you have, the 34-39 or 40-45 housing.
