differences between third gen axles...
Hey guys i just had a quick question regarding axle shafts in third gens. I have an 86 and a 92 camaro, the 92 is my daily driver at the moment and it has bent axles. I went online to http://www.superioraxlegear.com to see if the shafts out of the two cars had the same part number so maybe i could just swap the axles between the two. Well it has a different part number for the 90 to 92 and says its a 7.625 inch rear with 28 spline axles... is this correct? i wasnt aware there was a difference other than the 9 bolt rear. Thanks ahead of time

Yes - later years had 28 spline axles and earlier years had 26 spline axles.

Welcome to TGO. BTW, a search will often furnish the info you seek as there's not much that hasn't been asked and answered on site.
