megashifter

hello all....put in a megashifter and not sure on a few things...first the selector plate that mounts on the side of the tranny...the stock one was tight and the new one kinda wobbles around...is that normal? also I have the cable adjusted pretty good but it seems like you have to find the "sweet" spot to get it in reverse..no positive click or stop to feel it in. any ideas?

Re: megashifter

I installed mine earlier this year... Make sure you follow the instructions on adjustment... one of my friends took shortcuts on his and it still ain't right... I followed the instructions even though it seems like a waste of time... but mine shifts like it should and no hunting for reverse... after that if you are still having problems call their tech support line... good luck

no slop to selector plate... only fitment issue I had was with the cable at first but I was able to route it at a slightly better angle then recommended via the instructions... also used a wiretie or two to keep it away from exhaust...

Re: megashifter

Mine had slop. Basically the nut wasnt tightening down onto it. I found a washer with the hole big enough to fit the shaft and push on the bracket. problem solved.
