Lockup without cpu?

Car: 85 camaro RS RIP\ 86 IROC-Z :)
Engine: 2.8 MPI V6\ carbed LO5 5.7 v8
Transmission: 700r4 auto
Axle/Gears: 3.42\ posi 3.73
Lockup without cpu?
For now i have a 2.8mpi/700r4 and pretty soon im gonna be adding a 5.7(L98) in with a 88 IROC 700r4. Now the motor is powered by holley 650 carb and not the TPI or TBI (no cpu whatsoever), will i still be able to control lockup by having ALDL grounded?
