ok so its a 90 RS 3.1 with a 700r4 (i think) its the 4 speed auto, anyway teh TV cable clip that holds it to teh throtle linkage broke so i fixed it and adjusted teh cable, it was broke when i got the car so it never shifted right cuz it was rigged, anyway now that the tv cable is fixed and adjusted properly its still not shifting right

what its doing is it seems to shift at the time but the time between gears is so delayed lik itl shift outa second n act lik its in nuetral for 1-2 seconds tehn hit 3rd, its really really soft shifts, and when u floor it from a stop the 1-2 shift is very soft and takes forever, and when cruising if u floor it it acts lik its in nuetral lik it goes to downshift but tries to go into to low of a gear? but if i giv it 75% throttle it down shifts fine, or if i drop it in 3rd myself, im really lost at what to do this is new to me, THE TV CABLE IS ADJUSTED RIGHT! i been tryna screw with this issue for weeks now and im gettin worried that im gona burn up the trans

as long as the cable is adjusted right you wont burn it up but sounds like the tranny is going out.

 

what should i do about this, i cant aford to put a trans in it yet, i was planning on a 3.4 cuz the engine is worn out too

 

doesnt the acumulator control the shifts??? could it be something with tthat?? its not like slipping IN GEAR its that it wont pick a gear lol, its having issues shifting, lik tehy r delayed, it DOESNT SLIP lol
