Still problems with kickdown after breakdown and overhaul.

Hi there..

Anyone that has a clue what is causing my kickdown problems??

I have a 1987 700r4 in my Camaro that I have just rebuild after a breakdown couple of months ago.
I changed almost everypart and dissasembled the transmission twice to check that all parts are correct installed.

I also installed a TransGO shift kit and followed the kit and Dana from Probuilt Automatics instructions.

I have a early style valve body in the transmission by the way.

I have kickdown problems when driving the car. When I hit the pedal to the floor the car doesn't accelerate as it should.
Actually it feels like it is slipping between the 2nd to 3rd and all the way through 3rd to 4th.
Could this be caused by the governor?..I haven't done any mods to my governor, either replaced it after the last overheat (breakdown)

I have done some tests to be sure that the clutches are holding. So I have set the transmission in 1st and give it some WOT acceleration and the car accelerates ALL the way out. It really hits me back in the seat, and when I shift to 2nd the shift is crisp and firm. Then I accelerate all the way through 2nd and still keeps accelerating all the way. Shift to 3rd and a smooth but crisp shift there also like it should. Then I push the car a little bit in 3rd before I shift to Overdrive (4th) and the same smooth and crisp shift there also as it should.

I have installed a Techpak detent cable on the car and adjusted that the following way:
Get a friend to push the pedal to the metal. extend fully the cable and tighten the wire clamp so the TV valve is fully extended.
Is this wrong or what??..I mean, since this is not the original TV valve with the slider button and the click (which is pretty easy)

Any opinions are appreciated
Please ask more questions and I should explain what I know of.
I am familiar with theese cases and have done 2 overhauls now so acutally now them inside and out.
Therefor I cannot imagine what is causing this since everything is brand new and working.
I ask again: could this be the old stock governor???

Sounds like issue with adjustment of that TV cable. If it were me, I'd use stock replacement cable that can only be adjusted correctly.

I think that is the first thing I would try out
