Removing cable on automatic trans shifter 92 camaro

Hello,

I am replacing the stock transmission shifter, with a new one. I need to disconnect the old one and reuse it. I have attached a picture to try to clarify the part to be removed.

you want to take that cable off? That looks like the kind that snaps on. to get it off you just need to carefully pry it off working on side to side to it walks off.
