Fully seated stall converter?
I just put a new one in my 700R4. I heard 2 clicks as I pushed and turned it in. I measured it to the face of the bell housing. It measures 1 inch exactly. Is that enough??? The flywheel measures 7/8 inch from the block to face. Thanks.

It's possible one of those clicks was a double click. The converter should be almost right up to the pump. The only way you'll know if it's in all the way is to install the tranny. If the bellhousing bolts are done up and you can spin the converter than it's in far enough.

But do not draw the motor and trans together with the bolts. I did this and broke the tabs off the oil pump in the trans on my brand new, never driven on Hughes TH350. Had to replace the pump before I ever even used the trans.
