Car: 1985 Trans Am

Engine: 1978 5.7L 350 V8

Transmission: 700 R4

Axle/Gears: 10 bolt with 3.73 gears

shifter swap

does anyone know for sure in a stock automatic shifter from an 88 iroc will work in an 85 firebird. if so how. id doesnt seem to bolt up right. had a five speed in it.

Don't think so... something about the consoles.... I could be wrong though.

Plus, the tunnel stamping used in a stick shift car is different from the one in an auto car.
