just read through this thread on LS1tech:

His mini ladderbar style seems like it would work quite well and much easier than trying to fab a torque arm mount. Plus the need for a good torque arm would be gone so that money could almost provide for the rear swap. Only real issue it seemed was that this will put a lot more stress on the torque boxes, but with the subfame connectors on the car, they wrap around them and add a lot more beef to that area anyway. Could even re-inforce them more with some plate easily too.

there are a few different types of that style control arm/ladder ar things floating around out there. I have never seen one that worked well, and have seen few broken ones. I keep my torque arm

i believe one of the issues people have is that the front lca mount is not the strongest; it does its job just fine as-is, but removing the tq arm and putting more strain on those thin pieces is a bit too much. With some additional reinforcement, it may be a bit more doable.

really would like someone to come up with a viable tq arm mount for those of us who can't weld to cast parts. i saw one that another member had made that slipped over the input shaft area and bolted in place - looked awesome and a bit more user friendly to those of us who are not master fabbers

G-force actually sells a ladder bar conversion, but it would be way cheaper to just make it

But i figure with the extra steel of the subfames connectors around the torque box, and the fact that with the subframes there directly connected to the torque box's, that help distribute the load to help lift the front on launch
